The blue mess jacket is made from a Dacron/Wool tropical, Army shade 150. The jacket, which is cut on the lines of an evening dress coat, descents to a point at the hips and is slightly curved to a peak in back and front. General officer jackets come with the dark satin lapel and a 4-inch cuff of velvet with embroidered oak leaves. Velvet cuffs with bullion oak leaves can be added for an additional charge. Other officer jackets have the branch specified satin lapels, sleeve braid and trefoil. Enlisted jackets come with dark satin lapels, soutache, service stripes and chevrons.
