| The New Army Service Uniform Shirt
is made from medium gray authorized fabric in a herringbone weave, permanent-press 65/35 polyester cotton blend fabric. The heavier gray fabric wears like the poly-wool green cloth on the old service uniform shirt , and is currently the only authorized fabric for the gray shirt.
The pattern is similar to the old green shirts except there are no pleats in the pockets and two creases in the front and three in the back are
Lintrack (permanently set requiring no sewing). Shirts are permanent pressed and can be machine washed.
The shirts are worn with the same rank and name tags as previously authorized. As of this writing, the regulation on the wear of ribbons and badges remains the
same. |
